The Springboks will have a thorough review of their performances in their last two Castle Lager Rugby Championship matches and, according to Lukhanyo Am, return to the drawing board before embarking on their tour to Australia and Argentina following their 35-23 defeat against the All Blacks at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.

The All Blacks scored early and late in their second Castle Lager Rugby Championship Test against the Springboks in Johannesburg on Saturday to set up a 35-23 victory over the home side. Leading 15-0 after 30 minutes, New Zealand were overhauled by the Boks with less than 15 minutes to play when SA held a 23-21 lead, but that was snuffed out by two late tries by the visitors.

The 44-5 win over Spain in their first of two Women’s Winter Series Test matches at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg left Springbok Women head coach Stanley Raubenheimer a very pleased and content man on Saturday.

Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber lamented a lack of accuracy as his team’s fightback from a 15-0 deficit to lead 23-21 with 12 minutes remaining, ultimately wasn’t enough to record a third successive victory over New Zealand in a Castle Lager Rugby Championship match at the Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.
