The EP Queens and Border Ladies will kick off the action in a big Eastern Cape derby at the Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth at 13h00, with the Boland Dames taking on the Cell C Sharks Women an hour later at the Boland Stadium in Wellington. Both matches will be streamed live from the Springboks.rugby website.

The action will continue in Pretoria where the Blue Bulls Women and DHL Western Province will meet in the closing match at Loftus Versfeld at 14h30, with this encounter playing out live on SuperSport.

The Blue Bulls Women will enter their match against the defending champions with a point to prove as they suffered defeats in the last thee outings between the sides – two of which were at Loftus Versfeld.

Adding to this, they went down 17-11 in their season-opening clash against the Border Ladies last week, which will fuel their determination to get a win under the belt.

They will, however, brace themselves for a tough test as the Capetonians scored over 40 points in each of their last three matches, while they also made a strong statement last week by registering a comfortable 38-6 victory against Boland.

The clash between the EP Queens and Border Ladies is expected to be a spectacle given the intense rivalry between the sides and fact that two of their last three matches have been decided by no more than 10 points.

Border, who advanced to the final in 2019, suffered a defeat against the Port Elizabeth side in their last match, going down 20-12, and they will be wary of the fact that the EP Queens also registered a victory last week and will enter the match with confidence.

In Wellington, the Boland Dames and Cell C Sharks Women will both go in search of their first victory of the season.

With Boland only managing to score two penalty goals last week and the Cell C Sharks Women a try, they will look to sharpen up their execution and finishing this week.

In their last outing in 2019, the KwaZulu-Natalians secured a 32-17 away victory – a result that could boost their confidence slightly going into the clash.
