The big and fast JJ Engelbrecht made his Test debut in 2012 when he came off the bench against Argentina in Cape Town, after some strong performances for the Bulls in Vodacom Super Rugby. He first made his mark for Western Province, where he was one of their stars in the Absa Currie Cup in 2011, but moved north to Pretoria at the end of that season. Engelbrecht can play at wing and outside centre, is strong and quick and has good hands.
