Jaco Taute is a versatile back who first made his mark at fullback for the Golden Lions, but because of injuries also played in the midfield this year, making the move without any problems. Despite only turning 21 in 2012, he had already played three seasons of Vodacom Super Rugby. Taute is big and fast, played for the South African Under-20 side in 2011 and was a nominee for the Young Player of the Year award.
