Siya Kolisi was part of the six Young Guns that trained with the Springboks in June 2012 during the Castle Incoming Tour against England. A few weeks later he was selected for the Castle Rugby Championship squad, but an unfortunate injury playing Absa Currie Cup rugby for Western Province put an end to a superb season by the young loose forward, who was one of the Stormers' best players during their Vodacom Super Rugby campaign in 2012.
