A nippy scrumhalf with an eye for a gap, Neil de Kock played in 10 Tests during his three seasons with the Springboks, which coincided with the great Joost van der Westhuizen's final few seasons at the top. Apart from great vision and game control, De Kock also brough valuable leadership qualities to the team, as was seen later in his career when he successfully captained English club side Saracens.
