1968 TOUR: STATISTICAL QUIRKS

1 The 35 points scored by Tom Kiernan was a new record for points scored in a test series by a British & Ireland player and his 17 points in the first test was also a new British & Ireland record for most points in a test match by an individual.
2 Mike Gibson was the first British player to win an international cap as a replacement when he substituted for Barry John in the first test in Pretoria.
