BOKKIE
Bokkie has always been a good-natured, adventurous bloke. Willing to give anything a go and fascinated by the world around him. Un-fazed by any obstacles he would try or do anything. Unfortunately this would often land him in a lot of trouble as he didn’t always have the physical skill, dexterity and wit to overcome all the obstacles. This changed the day Bokkie donned the Springbok jersey! It gave him super abilities to do what he always believed he could and more. The only time things potentially go wrong for Bokkie now is when his super powers cause greater results than he was expecting. For example once when he super-kicked the ball for a conversion the ball burst through the side of the stadium and the stadium fell down. Oops.
The SA Rugby Bokkie never takes his jersey off and is therefore devoid of weakness, strength wise and character wise. He is never learning to do new things, he can do them well already, so he is always teaching. He knows the strength he has doesn’t come from himself so he can’t boast about it, rather he carries the mantle with great integrity and an eagerness for others to experience the same thing he has. He hasn’t lost his playfulness and he is a very sociable and inclusive character, always inspiring those around him and on the look out for those who may not feel included and pulling them in.

He is a sportsman and never disrespects an opponent but rather welcomes them as he knows it takes 2 teams to play rugby and he loves rugby!

For Bokkie the war is not on the rugby field it is off the field where he engages in fighting against unfair play, bullying, discrimination and all negative aspects of society. And he will offer his support and motivation to those who have fallen victim to any of these things. He is particularly fond of visiting hospitals where he is constantly amazed at the strength and resilience shown by the kids who find themselves there.

Bokkie is old school in his values and is hoping to make them new school again! He is never crude, he does not engage in any banter related to alcohol and he does not enter into any inuendo behavior with cheerleaders or women at rugby games.

All in all he is fun, energetic, positive, and someone you always want to be around.
