KWAZULU-NATAL
Founded 1890
Home Ground : Kings Park
Known across the world as The Sharks, they are one of the strongest provincial unions in South Africa with one of the strongest support bases of any team in the world. It took The Sharks (formerly Natal) in their well-known black and white jerseys 100 years before they could lift the Absa Currie Cup for the first time (back in 1990), but since then, they have repeated this feat no less than five times. They also qualified for the Vodacom Super Rugby final on four occasions (1996, 2001, 2007, 2012), but have not been able to win this competition.
